if you are like me, you have spent quite a few hours, days, weeks…wondering what it would be like to live in a foreign country. i’ve always been especially drawn and mystified by japan. it’s almost as if it’s not of this world. there is such a crazy blend of tradition and technology. and, to say the least, tradition and technology aren’t really america’s strong points. (eh, sorry super-america-lovers) anyhow, what i’m leading to is a friend of mine, jason, who, just recently, moved to japan. he takes great photos that give a glimpse of what it’s actually like to live in japan. it’s not all godzillas and geisha and japanese dojos targeting the jingwu school. (i know, kind of a bummer…) but here are a couple of photos and you can find all of his work here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jason935/
so take a mini-vacation to japan via jason’s flickr album. (ps the b&w photos of the road workers and the restaurant are my favorites…) his work makes me happy and i thought it might make you happy, as well!
